Overview:
Are you looking for an adventure, willing to be stretched, and excited to reach students far from God and see their lives transformed through a relationship with Christ?
RiverTown Church is searching for Youth Intern who will be responsible for developing relationships with youth 6-12th graders. If you are a dynamic person who loves Jesus, pursues a calling in ministry, and enjoys leading events for youth, then this opportunity might be for you.
The successful candidate will love Jesus and others, will have strong communication skills, and be able to lead students. They will develop relationships with students and assist with Wednesday Night Youth Services, Retreats, Missions Trips, Fundraisers, and Sunday Services.
This position fulfills our mission of “Transforming lives into the likeness of Jesus Christ” by effectively assisting the Family Minister in connecting with Studetns as part of an overall church discipleship strategy of connecting with Believers and Non-believers, helping them to Belong in at RiverTown Church and Become servants of God.
Christian Character:
A spiritually maturing person with a daily walk with God and role model of lifestyle holiness according to the Bible. This includes a practice of daily personal worship times, sharing one’s faith, a commitment to personal and group bible study and tithing. A loyal commitment to the family, future, mission and reputation of RiverTown Church, its members, and Pastoral leaders is also a must.
Ministry Qualifications:

О A self-starter who does not have to be continually supervised.
О Able to adapt to the continually changing nature of a young and growing church.

О Able to mentor youth effectively.
О Able to recruit volunteers and resource them effectively.
О Able to make smart goals and achieve them effectively.
О Displays personal moral excellence.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Youth Worship Service Flow weekly.
2. Prepare a message and speak at least once a month.
3. Supervise during fundraisers.
4. Chaperone youth retreats and missions trips.
5. Build relationships with youth by eating lunch together at their schools.
6. Attend Sunday Morning Services in order to connect with youth and encourage them in volunteering.
7. Report weekly to the Family Minister.
