God's Path to Promotion
In God We Trust Explained: AS SONS AND DAUGHTERS, WE ARE INVITED INTO PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IN HIS FAMILY BUSINESS. I. How to get a DEMOTION? Never do any more than you are required to do. Never express disagreement or take a stand on an issue. Never stick your neck out on a new project. Never grow in other areas of your life. Never stay in a job very long. II. The Promotion YOU WANT can only come from GOD. For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the desert. But God is the judge; he puts down one and sets up another. ~ Psalm 75:6-7 (JUB) The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes. ~ Proverbs 21:1 (NASB) Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.” ~ John 19:11 (NIV) Become the person who can do that job better than anyone else. Make a detailed case to the Boss. Leave the Time, Place and Position up to God. Let God promote you someplace else, if He desires. His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” ~ Matthew 25:21 (NIV) III. You must be Promoted SPIRITUALLY before you’re Promoted PUBLICALLY. Moreover, as you Philippians know… not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 15, 17, 19 (NIV) But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. ~ Matthew 6:6 (NKJV)
