For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.One of the great comforts God has given me is the divine timing in the events surrounding his death from lung cancer. For many months before he died we have had this new church-wide sermon series and campaign simply called… HEAVEN!

“MY MAMA ALWAYS TOLD ME!”, Pastor David Rathel, Week 3, Heaven Series, 05/11/2014- “Wash your hands before dinner” “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!” “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get!” “Just in case you get in an accident never forget to put on clean underwear!” Well, maybe you never had to hear that last one… But, I’d bet there’s something your mom made sure that you’d never forget. Along with some of the ones above, my mom had one that always stuck with me and gave me direction. She would always tell me: “Remember Who You Are, David, Remember Who You Are!”
She could tell me to remember who I was when I got off track because she was the one who taught me who I was from the beginning. She was then and is now a dynamic woman of God! She taught me that I was a Son of my Father in Heaven, that she had dedicated me to Him, and that I had a calling on my life. For that lesson and so much more I could never thank her enough. I’m sure most of you know the feeling. Words or actions could never be enough to even begin to describe our gratitude on Mother’s Day!

EXHALE THROUGH REPENTANCE – MY SIN – The “Fruit”, Wrong: Actions, Words, Attitudes, Values, Priorities…, Confession = Agreeing With God. -Be specific in confessing your sin. -”But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, ‘GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.’ James 4:6
MY SELF – The “Root – Agree with God that the root of my sin is “SELF”, Pray: Lord, when I sinned, I pushed Christ off the throne of my life, and willfully chose to take control of my own life.
INHALE THE HOLY SPIRIT’S CONTROL, Thank God for His forgiveness, based on the promise of His Word.
